free pictures

Got today a lot of six pictures for free from a vendor I know good. He didn't know wich kind of pictures I had in my hands, but I'm a regular customer of him and so, he let me have them for free.

5 VAVV and one unknown uniform. I'll try to scan them and post them on the forum.

My latest buy, a nice portrait of a Vlaamsche Wacht onderofficier of the III division, with Brugge as garrison-town. The picture was taken in Eeklo, strange not?

Why strange? It was quite normal that Flemish Volunteers or Flemish men in other collaborationist forces had pictures taken in their hometown, all dressed up? Possibly this guy was from Eeklo and had this picture taken for his relatives ... I have various portrait photos taken here in various Belgian towns of several Flemish Waffen-SS Volunteers ...

I think this would be the reason ...
