Since I know very little about this subject, I thought I'd post this greatcoat I bought in Munich around 10 years ago. The greatcoat itself is a private purchase piece with a very ratty liner. The BW stamp which is located on the lower inside skirt wasn't mentioned prior to the sale, and I only realized it was there later that day.
Is the stamp original, and if so, would the reason for it being on a private purchase piece mean that this coat was recycled by the SS Bekleidungsamt later in the war? Thanks in advance for any comments.
