Weeding out the Fakes

I would like to weed out the fakes from my collection, so I am asking for some opinions from people more knowlegable than I am ( that means everyone!) on some items, I hope you will all be willing to help me. I would like to start with two officer's runic tabs. Thanks for any and all help.

Backs of the tabs

Here are the backs of the tabs, nothing glows under black light such as the core of the braid. There is some corrosion especially on tab B.

No fair, you know the answers! I'll take a guess...
"A" I don’t like - runes are too large, orientation is wrong. Also too much material on the back. "B" looks ok.

A: IMO a fake because the rune,s are to bige
and the construction of the metaldreads
are to far away from each other

B: these just have the right look
but maybe we all been tricked
by that metaloxidation

Officers Runic Collar Patches

IMO, and at a quick clance I would say that the tab on the left is a copy and that the tab on the right is good. The tab on the left seems wot appears to have too much material on the back as apposed the the one on the right. The runes on the left are un-even and not like those on the right. I also like the backram backing of the one on the right.
But looking at a clance is not the answer it would be better to have a closer look and an hands on inspection.

Some of the repros on officer tabs are quite good, and the only way you can really judge on some of the more convincing repros is by examining the material from which they are made--this is why I prefer the ems.
