    Ashtray Kitsch

    Gotta love this. Appears to be a copper metal stamping with the reverse filled with some kind of grey plaster type material for weight on which is applied a felt bottom.

    For the SS guy who has everything -

    (By the way - is that a Deshler totenkopf?)

            FINALLY, the missing ashtray has been found!

            It hs been missing from this stand, which I was offered for sale with the accompanying letter of authenticity (unfortunately-unsigned), providing iron-clad provenance.

            Until I read the letter, I was unaware that Patton had visited the bunker or that Hitler had been such a fan of smoking as a hobby!

            I will be glad to put you in contact with the seller of the stand so that you can reunite these two long-separated ultra-rare items.
