    Langemarck Cuff Title

Hey guys, I have a Langemarck cuff title here that I want your opinions on. It comes from a very trustworthy source, and was brought in with a grouping of stuff.....everything right as rain, to include a Deutschland cuff title.

It appears to me to be a Flemish-made variant of an officer flatwire cuff. Notice how Langemark is spelled without a 'c'. Measures about 47cm. What do you guys think? and how much is a reasonable price? Thanks in advance.

This is certainly not issue. I would stay away from this piece.

You're saying stay away because it's not an issue piece, or because there are other fatal flaws in the construction? In another thread, I recall seeing a hand-made HJ cuff title that isn't issue, but checks out fine. Is that the case here, as well? Thanks Bob for your comments.

Very difficult to say. There are photographs of a lot of handmade variants of the Langemarck cuff-title including some which are mispelled as this one is (I've also seen pictures of 'Langenmarck' CTs being worn, for example). I wouldn't want to pay very much for something like this but I would consider it if the price was OK.

I can’t say if the Ärmelband is original or not, but you can’t say it’s misspelled; Langemarck is German for Langemark ...<O</O
Here is a picture of a volunteer wearing the “Langemark” Ärmelband:<O</O

              Langamark cufftitle being worn.

Here is a picture of the Langemarck cuff title with the alternate spelling being worn. Its embroidery is different to the cuff title in question in that it uses small and capital letters.

Any more thoughts on this cuff title? I haven't been able to find any good pricing information anywhere, as there are currently only factory manufactured cuff titles for sale. If anyone has any idea, I would appreciate you input. Thanks again for all of your help.
