Hello i have here a SS map case it looks to me to be allright a second opinion would be good though.
The circle that has been scratched out what would have been in there?

I balk at any leather goods marked or embossed with "SS"... my research shows that the Waffen-SS acquired the great majority of this stuff from Army stocks and did not have it specifically made for them. I would say somebody embossed this just to jack up the price. It's an ordinary military issue black leather map case. If you want to pay a ton of extra money for this, that is your choice but I wouldn't.

I agree with Bob, normally the SS and RZM markings surround a contract date and maker code. eg: (SS) 196/37 (RZM)

It´s a good thing then i didnt pay a lot of money for it. It was in a collection i bought a long time ago.
