The insignias are fakes. The eagle is the higher quality Sieder of Vienna fake.

Based on the two uniforms you've shown, you'd be well advised to find a different source for your militaria.

I was a bit sceptic and when I posted the pictures on this forum I got the final answers. Both SS General tunics fakes from Germany !

              Hi Bob.

When I compare these collarpatches pictured with the ones I have been offered on the tunic, I see the differences in the quality and in the stiching.
Now a days there are so much **** that comes out from german collections .

                Derek,

Since you're in Norway you might come across an SS-Brigadefuhrer uniform that claims to have belonged to Gustav Lombard. I know that some poor guy up there got stuck with it a number of years ago. So beware. As long as you can provide good close up pictures of the insignia (in particular) here on the WAF, we can steer you in the right direction. But many of these SS general's uniforms are outright fakes, and as brought up in this or your other thread, the light-gray stripes on the pants are a red flag for starters.

Good luck with finding and acquiring an original SS General's uniform. Actually, I just remembered that Demelhuber's tunic, leather overcoat and fleece cap tailor made in Finland is available for $65,000.

                  Wow.
I understand whay there are a lot of copies of SS general uniforms and so few originals out there. The PRICES are extreme for the original stuff and the fakers do what they can to make as good copies as possible. I am sure that in the future it will be SO much harder to detect the copies!

I know the Lombard uniform. A sad story !

                    Derek,

Out of curiosity, what kind of prices is somebody asking for these two uniforms that have been offered to you?

                      Hi GFM.

Quite less than the Demelhuber's tunic, but as the situation in the moment are "fake" uniforms, I have to wait to mention the price.

Whatever the price, it's TOO MUCH I'm sure (for a fake)!!!

My friend Willi would love to be able to pick up the Demelhuber uniform grouping and reunite it with the insignia grouping he has. Dave Delich has the greatcoat, which by the way has WHITE lapels and not light-gray. The underlays on the Demelhuber shoulder boards are also WHITE. If I'm not mistaken, didn't the Allgemeine-SS general's greatcoats have white lapels? That's probably where that came from then - on Demelhuber's greatcoat and shoulder boards.

                          Hey Bob,

Which overcoat does Dave have, the one with collar tabs or the one with the Germania cufftitle and no tabs?

I think his has no collar tabs. I remember it from the video some guy did a number of years ago.
