Third man from the left, the one with the camera... Wearing SS-Brigadeführer collar tabs... yet sporting a Luftwaffe officer's visor cap. That is certainly a very odd combination. Any thoughts?

I think IMO that the guy in question is actually a LW officer , he is wearing a LW tunic so it seems ,I can see the pocket flap.
Must be insignias for a LW OFF.

Yes, you are correct Pierre. The man with the camera is a Luftwaffe Officer. The man on the right is SS-Gruppenfuhrer Fritz von Scholz, commanding officer of the 11. SS-Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadier-Division "Nordland" - KIA and posthumously awarded the Swords to his Knight's Cross. Nice picture!
