These are 2 pouches...You mean the font (letter style) of the one that reads "Totenkopf" ?
or are both questionable in your view?
Note that many many different font styles were used, there is no standard font ...

Anyway these two pouches came to me from a LW collector who did not even know these were SS unit marked...
but of course I agree these have been faked also... usually its BLACK pouches though... the SS color...
as brown pouches are already more desirable for LW (and FJ) collectors... but who knows?

IMO both markings are very questionable.
Letter style under the lid looks like the bogus stamps used by dog tag fakers.

SS WBD 1935 - stamp of producer. WBD - WirtschaftsBetriebe Dachau, SS Economic Enterprises, clothing depot Dachau. 1935 - year of production. I added a photo to the album.

There came out some items like showel leather, p08 holster etc. from east europe a few years ago with a ss scull marked in the leather.
IMO it is east european forgery.

Some objects are stampes with ss scull and the SS2 mark like a kettle I owned. It was a east european restamped fake as well. There was other items floating with the same stamping those days as a result of mass forgery. NO there was not found a SS2 depot in eastern europe..

Anybody got a proper picture of a period picture of the big ss scull on mapcase, 08 holster or whatever? (I am not talking about the little stamp on ss 98k).
