Is sure looks like a twin of the one in Angolia's book! I never really paid attention to that variation. Looks home made to me... but the fact that it is referenced is obviously a good sign! That makes me like it more now!!! Nick

Even though we hold up Angolia's book as The Bible in SS Insignia, let us remember that there is a lot of garbage in it as well. I'd be looking for a second reference before declaring victory here.

they look like the runes are card and then sewn over, im no expert, but no real rookey either but i have to say i would not even give these a second thought to lay along side my bevo ones. sorry no offence intended at all.

Matthew, it would be really good if you put those photos back. We are all here to learn and it is very good to be able to see pictures of what you discuss. We have simply expressed that we are not comfortable with your collar tab as original. No insults or anything and please do not get it in that way. I have collected for 18 years and I have been collecting SS for 10 years. I have learned a lot from this forum and others will do as well in the future, but not if people continue to delete photos if their items are being questioned.

Matthew.I really hope that a few bad thoughts do not drive you from the hobby. From what I have read on the tab so far no definitive answer can be given. Seems everything said so far has been asumption with no clear reason given for liking/or not liking the tab. I think you should hold on and wait for better answers. If the tab turns out to be bad...welcome to the club. It happens to the best in the hobby. I hope you hang in there and don't give up.
