    Dachau cuff title on Ebay

    Ok Gentlemen,
This Dachau cuff title just went on Ebay and I had spotted it but lost it in the end. I do lack references of such a rare cuff title. The black weave base looks ok, and it has seven strands. It has a lot of similarities to the one Dachau cuff title pictured in Angolias SS cloth insignia but is not a total match. Im not sure of that cuff title pictured in Angolias book as well. It has two different A's. Doesnt make sense. What worries me is the strange embroidery on the reverse with "dual" threads going out of the A. Its usually a single thread being the remnant of the machine embroidery going over the black band. The letters DACHAU hold a quite nice line and from obverse it looks rather ok.

From my point of view it could be an original, but Im far from sure.

    What do you think?

Felix, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you really blew it. That title was 100% authentic. You should have done whatever it took to get that title. Like tell your friend !!!!

This originally came from the widow of a 14th Armor vet, along with a PM SS honor sword. It was picked up about 10 years ago at a gun show.

Am I correct, there are only two of these known to exist; This one and the one shown in Angolia's book?

I bought this week out of an old collection this very rare CT. I think this is the 3th one we know.

Are all of the known cufftitles cut down?

Not to include this DA title but how much is out from the good stuff? Good question, but I hold my self back as there is still enough out especially in old collection (example Europe) where nobody knows what exactly is sitting in all their drawers.
