I agree...pretty crudely done...looks like an old old repair with fiberglass or something.... Bird came in a vet souvenir lot with a bunch of common tinnies, a NSDAP party badge and a SchuKo LW metal cap eagle, so I had good expectations... Nick

You can see the resin fibers in the repair area... Edges are sharp and no casting bubbles, its razor smooth! so OK I guess? Maker? Value?

Thanks for confirming the maker Anders! I was told that "Zimmermanns" are pricey, but I guess all of these eagles (and skulls) are just skyrocketing in value..) Nick

Put it in the freezer for a few hours and then stick a screwdriver under the glue and lift, it should just pop off in one chunk.

If it was my bird I would just leave it as is. Just my opinion. Very nice find by the way
