    Grenz Polizei cufftitle

I do not remember for sure when and where I got this one. What do you think?

    Hello Ron,

An absolute original. I have an identical band from the veteran, also double paper tagged.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

        Bob,

Could be brothers.......except mine is missing one of the tags, but it can be seen where it was. What was the outfit......an SS Polizei unit, or something else?

        Thanks,
        Ron

They were SS border control men.

My brother owns a twin... His "Grenz-Polizei" cuff title however is still attached to the SS "frontier-Police" uniform! A tailor made fine wool SS great coat (SS but looks polizei green in color, it was possibly tailored locally in Holland as its custom made in very fine high quality officers (Dutch?) wool, hence the "polizei" blue-ish shade and the collar is made in same material, not dark green). it comes with SS lieutenant (sew-in) shoulder boards with green piping on black SS underlay. I think this actually might be an SD farbe, appropriate for Grenz Polizei, if I'm not mistaken.
It was a war souvenir from his father-in- law, so 100% original untouched. He was in the Dutch resistance in Holland). I was explained that this garment was even used for resistance operations! I'll try to get some pictures! It will obviously never ever be sold, as it is a family heirloom piece, an artifact with a story! Nick
