    Can this Be Right?

    Found on a German site.

    'Das Reich' NCO, early 1945.

Can this guy really have won all this, without getting the DK in Gold?

    Proficiency Runes there instead?

The collar runes look touched up.

    What a busy soldier!

Time to make many kills as tanker and yet participating in anti partisan warfare as well as climbing out of the the tank to destroy a few for fun!

Its got to be some medals on loan for that pic

You know every time I look at some of these I get the feeling in my mind that somebody has taken a current day photo of a reenactor and then touched it up to make it look period. This has been going on for some time now. I wonder if it's a real era photograph or something made up and touched up to look era. Wouldn't the Proficiency Badge go on the other side? And only non-Germans were privileged to earn that badge so would this man being wearing a runic collar tab. Plus he is an apparent Officer Candidate.

It all looks Photoshopped to me. I don't think I'd want those collar tabs in my collection.

Photoshop is awonderful (sarcasm) thing..you can do almost anything..I could put my grandfather standing behind the fuhrer or on some street in Kharkov..and unless one new what to look for...it would be very convincing.

Kind of reminds me of the movie CAPRICORN ONE where they faked the Mars landing, then when the capsule was returning to earth it burned up in the atmosphere and then they had to kill the astronaunts. There's a website out there that supports the theory that we never actually landed on the moon but I doubt if the Soviets would have let us get away with trying to pull off something like that. They know for sure we were up there! Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see!

Knights cross at least. At least he would never worry about wearing a belt.

Thats a numbered PAB also. All these awards would be more in line of the Knights cross. At least he did not have to worry about wearing a belt.
