straps are very stiff and it feels like it has a cardboard inside.
i've never seen so ugly buttonholes before.
what are the opinions about these straps?

Personally I like them. I would say tailor made private purchase boards, in the mobilization style. With these types in general just make sure they were not taken apart or the wool dyed like is sometimes done to luft boards to become W-SS, but I think these are fine, although not textbook. Just my opinion.
