I think I recall seeing a period photo of a ss trooper wearing a boot knife clipped to his smock where it ties up. Can anyone out there post it or any other period photos of the boot/combat in use they can post?Thanks in advance.

It's on page 220 if anyone has the book handy and also a 'painting' of the photo is used as the front cover.
The same SS man is shown in several pictures - it's part of the set of pictures from the attack at Poteau.
