    Edelweiss cap badge

    Hi,

I finally found my missing item, but well, as you can see, it's a bit unusual... The backing is not black here, but a kind of blue-grey that looks a bit like the field-blue grey wool of standard issue LW M43's.
Your opinions about this item are needed, gentlemen.

    Thanks !

      Christian,
I just sent some new photos for you to post
I just took in natural sunlight. The above photos were
enhanced with photoshop "auto levels" and I have learned that is fouling up natural colors allot. I still have a hard time getting some colors to look right and am still learning some photog skills.

I hope they help. As I mentioned I found these among a massive collection I am currently going thru and though beleive them to be original, I am no expert and eagerly encourage community input.

      Bob

One other thing, in person with the naked eye the backing material appears grey to dark grey, with no blue as seen in the first photos.

              Hi Christian,
This is the bunch of patches I got the M43 patches from (they were all in the same box) They were among a bunch of foreign volunteer patches (some with original paper backing) others wrapped in the original yarn. Also I found several "Bergfuhrer" Edelweiss patches I thought you might want to see, one with origninal paper backing. I don't know if you already have any of these I have provide images below. They residee on my web server I hope I am not breaking any image posting rules..
