    Shoulder boards

    Hello,

I'd like to have your opinion about these NCO "Nebeltruppen Schulterklappen". Do they look good to your taste ?

    Thanks

    Hi Edelweiss,

The materials look Ok. The thing that bothers me a bit is the fact the Litzen aren't straight. The top is a bit narrow.

Best is always to feel them and see if they 'tell a story'. Hands on is always best.

Thanks, Bart. About the "problem" that worried you, they are not straight because I used a rubber band to keep them together !
By the way, I'd like to ask a stupid question : what's the difference between Heer (for black wrapper) and WSS Panzer schoulder boards ???

        Edelweiss,
the straps do not look like Nebeltruppen to me, more a panzer/anti tank pink, are they also wool piped?,
if you search though this forum you will find quite a few examples of ss straps
        cheers,
        gary

          Waffen-SS shoulder strap

          Hello Chris,

I agree with Gary. Below some pics of a Waffen-SS pair of Artillery
          shoulder straps..

          Happy collecting!

Gary, Philippe, thanks. What a great answer Philippe !
But well, sorry if I seem a bit slow on this one, but this is not really my field, and to make things worse, I'm getting old...
But if a shoulderstrap is black, just like Philippe's, and pink piped how can we tell it's a Heer Panzer shoulderstrap (for the black outfit) or a WSS one ???

About the color of these, Gary, I have to say that the scan fools quite a lot. The piping is really "bordeaux" (maroon is the right word I guess ?)
