SS EM infantry shoulder strap, opinions please?

Hello guys!

In the beginning of my ”career” as a collector I came across a SS NCO jacket. It had been used at a theatre and someone had written “SS” with an ink pen where the SS collar patch used to be. Back then I found no interest in the jacket but kept one of the shoulder straps. I have a strong feeling this one is original (EM put on NCO jacket for who knows what reason). It will be interesting to hear your opinions.

photos are a bit "washed out", but I think it is ok.
take one clear picture each of the reverse and front with the tongue extended. will be lot easier to see and make a judgement, instead of a bunch of little parts.

Here I have made some new pictures. It’s a little bit difficult to get the contrast from the black fabric. And I had to take the pictures in two parts, as even more of the details disappeared when I stretched them out to get the entire strap within the frame. Hope the new pictures will be of some help.
