    They look okay to me with what you've got pictured here. If you use them for restoration be sure you put them on the correct shoulders... there is a LEFT and RIGHT shoulder boards for Major and up!!!

      Would that be because of the way the cords are twisted at the button ... with the high end pointing towards the back?

        As you look at the front of the uniform, the top board would go on the right shoulder and the bottom one on the left... has to do with the cords around the button -- come around from the back - low end on the front.

            What is funny sometimes is to see a totally authentic GFM tunic, tailor-made by some of the finest in Germany, and the shoulder boards are put on backwards - right on left and left on right... it's been done!!! But there is a difference too...
