Fresh SS Find from Antique Dealer

Hey guys: An antique picker/dealer that has been really good to me turned up this stuff. Is the Gorget an SS item? What is this book? It goes from 1933 to 1939... A few photos too. I'm not an SS guy, but I love getting hold of some REAL stuff!

    Thanks for any input.

                Very nice indeed Skip.

I need to develop a relationship with an antiques picker.

It is a standard military field police gorget,a nice original one. Does it still glow in the dark?

Worn by Army,SS etc field police personnel.

Nice Gorget. I can tell it'll still lite up just by the color of the llluminecent paint remaining. Give it a go!

Like to get me hands on a nother nice example. This one fits the bill.

                      Sorry Skip,
Don't scold me too bad for jacking the thread. Haven't posted this pair in a long while. Same as yours with the paper backing. No help on the booklet though.

                          Skip-

Nice find! The book is a SS-FM (SS-Fördernde Mitglieder) Mitgliedsbuch, a membership book for people who contributed financially to the SS, but were not actual members of the organization. The book would have been issued along with a SS-FM stickpin which would have the membership number stamped on the back.

                            Thanks for the comments!

                            Yes the gorget glows still.

Here are some Concentration Camp photos that came with the stuff... Pretty amazing to me.
