The photographers flash could be the reason why G******246;rings tunic look a bit brighter, and it does, compared to the black ss uniforms in the rear. So does G******246;rings face if you compare to the guy behind him. Could be an effect of the flash, and he is actually wearing a black SS uniform. Well, who knows?

G******246;ring seems to wear a SS visor cap in the first image. Notice the skull.

Many Of The Earlier S A Officer's Tunics Was Manufactured From A Wool Far Darker Than What We Are Accustomed To. Although None Of Us Will Likely Ever Know, My Vote Is The Tunic Is S A.
Attached Is An Image Of An Early Wool S A Kepi Manufactured Of Wool Darker Than The Norm, Which Certainly Would Look Quite Dark In A Photo Taken In The Early-mid 1930's

Sorry, but if we look at the shape and size of the collar, it is quite clear that this is not a tunic at all, but rather a greatcoat.
The greatcoats of higher SA leaders had darker brown collars and lapels; that explains the very dark appearance and the clear color difference to his SA tunic.
Thus my opinion is: SA greatcoat, not SS tunic.

Hitler a Goring nikdy nenosili taketo uniformy.

eine Uebersetzung. Thes image at the start of this thread is from the SS news gazette black Korps. It is the Ausgabe of early Dezember 1935 and was a criticism of bad taste in German culture and society at Christmastime. The Artikel had many images and was about Kitsch d.h. junk in the christmas consumer Artikel and Waren of the season. The Bild of Hitler and Goering was from a Modehaus that sold uniforms and had wrong use of party regulations on uniforms. The writer of article used this image to critizieren the failure to watch right uniform regulations. The Bild here is from a Modezeichner, d.h. an artist of fashion designs and Mode. The SS was famous in black Korps Gazette for critique of buergerlich/bourgeois attitudes and non-Nazi attitudes, behaviour, deeds in society and in NSDAP itself. schoene Gruesse, Jhr, Woelfl, hohe Tatra. Also, the article itself reprinted in a German volume of late 1960s entitled Schwarzes Korps in der Reihe 'Querschnitt'. Danke an meiner Uebersetzerin, Mag Fr. Karin Woeflova.

I also say black, the flash makes it look lighter than the officer behind.

Would not there be grey facing to the lapels if it was an SS Great coat

                Gary,
Excellent and obvious; let's hope your well observed point puts this one to bed.
