My little Teddybear....with SS Totenkopf Cuffband

I have an old Teddybear, that is stamped by the Lebensborn on the sole of one his feet. Among other Nazi regalia, it is also adorned with a Totenkopf Cuffband. The cuffband is partly glued onto the Tedybear and I can, therefore, not take photos of the reverse side, yet.

My question here is: Do you think the cuffband to be original from what I am able to show at present. I think it is, but I am no expert at these and I do not know for sure.

It is hand embroidered with 7 strands of wire on the top and bottom and the cuffband measures pretty much exactly 28mm wide. If there is anything else to tell or show at this stage, without having to take the band of the Teddy bear, then please do let me know.

Thank you very much for any opionions and/or help given. Cheers, Torsten.

...first up is an overall pic of the Teddybear in all its glory....

the cuffband could be removed from the teddy bear, as it is only glued on in a couple of places and not all over ... I am just not sure if I would want to remove it or not? If I am being told that the cuffband is definitely original, then I would be more inclined to leave on the Teddy, if it was definitely fake, then I would take it off the Teddy, as I know the teddy to be old and good and I also think the Lebensborn stamp on it to be genuine, but I would not want to have a fake cuffband on it...saying that, I do believe the cuffband to be original, but I am just not sure.... Cheers, Torsten.

                        Torsten.
Any chance of a picture of the Lebensborn stamp?
I have my doubts about the cuff title.

                            Thanks Torsten.

In my opinion, the bear is typical 1930s........long legs and arms etc.

However, I think the Lebensborn stamp is modern and the embroidery on the TK is not as tight as on originals I have seen. The bones are also badly misaligned.

It's only my opinion......but I feel the old bear has been dressed up well after 1945.

Hi Robin, thank you for your comments .... the bear is certainly an old one and I agree with you that it is likely to be 1930's .... would it help if I was to take the cuffband off the bear and show the reverse side? it sounds like it will be necessary to do this one way or another?? Cheers, Torsten.
