What's a fair price for an officers SS-Totenkopfbande cuff title?

Assuming it's original, what's a flatwire officers CT worth these days? I can't find any of dealer sites - I appreciate the help. s/f Robert

Robert, do you mean an "SS-Totenkopfverbände" cufftitle? If so, it is impossible to give a value for this cufftitle as none are available for sale. So until one of the few collectors who owns one agrees to sell one for a specific price, any value estimate is just pure speculation. If not the Holy Grail of cufftitles, this is at least the Holy Saucer...Tom

Robert, Hello, Let's clear this up a little bit. The price depends on which flatwire title you are talking about. As one said, if it is the spelled out "Totenkopfverbande" , then yes, extremely rare! which you could put a nice price tag on it and probally sell without problems. If it is the "Totenkopf" flatwire, then you are looking around the 6K - 8K range based on condition. I have a collector friend that paid well over this price for both of his and I thought that he was crazy and I have never heard of another one selling for those amounts. If it the scull flatwire type one , then you will see several for sale that range from 3K-5K ,but they are not moving. I do believe that Peter Jenkins and some others have some within that price range currently for sale. If it is the flatwire scull band type two , then it will be a little more sought after and easier to sell and you might get between 5K to 6K for it to some more advanced SS cloth collectors. Any way that you look at it, the flatwire TK bands are not cheap, but when you get in values over 5K, then your buying field gets very few and select, so keep that in mind when you decide to price it, ok. Hope that this helps. Grant

Sorry for my early morning typo (although I type poorly normally as well); I meant SS Totenkopfverbande, like the one shown. Not much chance of getting it - but i'll let you know. s/f Robert

                    Mr. Singer,

Hello, Unfortunately they are, so if you have one or know where one is for sale, then I would be interested. Although, it would have to be in a lot better shape than the one shown and longer. Regards, Grant

Grant, thank you for the explanation regarding relative worth. The CT I'm addressing is full length and looks unissued. Again, i'm a long way from closing on it, but I'll let you all know. s/f Robert
