    A Rune Officer tab...original?

    Dear all,

At a local show I acquired this nice looking tab having a RzM etiket on the back. It seems to be an officer's type from which they have removed the silver piping. What are your opinions? Is it an original?

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

    Best regards,

    Coco

                Very nice Tab.
Is there a site or thread that explains the difference between the various RZM Tag letters, and the level of quality or type of manufacturing that they indicate?

                  The tab....

                  Dear all,

Thanks for the nice comments! I was quite sure with this one but did not know for the 100%....Thanks! I will probably restore it with some officer braid if I find it....and then give it a nice place in my collection!

                  Best regards,

                  Coco

I would leave it exactly like it is. If, in fact, this tab originally had officer piping, there is nothing to say that it was not removed for use by an NCO during the war.

Or by an officer for use in the field for that matter.

I also would leave it as it is, a NCO is even more attractive for my taste and we know also from war time pictures that some front officers removed their pipings. Very nice tab !
