The giveaway here is the white stiching on the reverse, which is especially bad (almost on the edges) on this one. A heads up: The right hand white vertical stitching line is almost on the edge of the tab. This is a known characteristic of the fake Delta series. Usually on that series of reproductions, the other three white stiching lines are visible in what would be the trademark work of a "Dachau" manufacture collar tab. In yours, they are almost non existent.

Just to add to the post above, there is also the unique type of backing cloth that was used for these tabs, and the type of thread used to embroider them with.

Crap. Yes, it was a metal insignia, but IMO that doesn´t totally exclude stiched ones.
