    SS or Coastartilleri sidecap ?

    Hi.

I have this sidecap and I have problems finding out if it is a SS or a Coastartillery sidecap.
    Inside it is stamped RB-Nr. 0/0402/0036 60.

    Thanks
    Derek

I believe you ve got a coastal artillery cap..I believe you can see the cockade shadow ..thread remnants also for both cockade and soutache..If you can look behind fold in front you may sell yellow remains of Navy soutache..Billbert

              Hi bilbert.

That is correct with the cockarde.
But I thougth the model could be a SS model as the way it is sewn together in the front. One side goes over the other on the upper front etc.

                  Thanks billbert & Gary.

Then this cap will get a coastal artillery cloth eagle and cockarde sewn on and not a SS eagle and skull

                  Regards
