Look at the second sleeve eagle. The same like this here, just new.

It was damned as a fake.

                    Wolf,

if Bob says that it's good and Gary says that it's good then that has "some value". However, you can wait for Robin Lumsden's opinion as well.., I doubt his opinion will be much different.

"In my book" equals "in my opinion"...or "I think"...still, I am german and you might want a native english speaker to explain that to you...but you get the idea...

I would listen to Bob Hritz and Gary Wood...and naturally Robin Lumsden "In my book" they know what they are talking about when it comes to SS insignia.

                    Cheers

                    Fritz

Lieber Fritz.

Danke f******252;r eure Hilfe. Ich wei******223; das wirklich sehr zu sch******228;tzen. Ich will einfach keine F******228;lschung kaufen.

                      And now in english:

Thanks a lot Fritz for explaining me the phrase "in my book". I really haven******180;t heard that before.

Of course i have now enough opinions to be glad, but then i******180;ve found a picture of this eagle (unused and really abnormal white) in the GDC and there it was called a fake. So i wanted to hear more opinions.

Thanks a lot for helping me. I really appreciate that!!!!!!!!

I just don******180;t want to get burned!

                        Marc,
I can understand that as i am sure others can you might want to stick to more standard pattern of ss insignia until you get a feel for it, the sites below are trusted sites but there are many others just a couple of examples, maybe other members can list others

Ich will einfach keine Fälschung kaufen.
Wer will schon eine Fälschung kaufen!?

                          Fritz

Just out of curiosity, what is the difference between the one posted here, and the one posted on the daggers forum and determined a fake?

                            They appear identical....?

                              Brett,
They look identical to me also, the examples i have seen like this normally have a gauze on the back.
                              cheers
