        hi rick at first glance medal looks ok but as mentioned could do with some close up shots.the thickness of the letters could be a concern but this is hard to tell untill better photos are available.i will keep looking at the thread

              The medal does give the impression of being ok but a lot of reproduction 8 year medals have been cast from originals and viewed from this distance look fine.

              I would implore you to get detailed photos before sending payment.

                So how coud be one sure that the medals is O.K, since the SS medals are one off the moust expensive ones ? If i woud ever bought one i wont to be sure it is original !

                  I dont completely understand your comment.
                  My point to Rick is that the closeup details that you should see on an original arent evident from this distance.There are also several die characteristics of which only closer photos will reveal.

                  A few detailed photos may be the difference between a good buy and wasting your money.

                  I for one wouldnt be buying any 8 year based on the those images provided.
