    "Made in USA"

Do you think that the seller of this little gem on eBay is trying to use the stamp on the ruler to tell us something about the origins of the ribbon bar?

              Hi Guys,

As the seller I can assure you that I DID get the ribbon bar personally from a vet several years ago. If you bother to read the description it covers authenticity, negativity and sarcasm (that is what no questions asked means). You can even use your blacklight on this one. My feedback and reputation are too important to say otherwise. By the way I thought for sure that I would catch flak for the ruler because the dog chewed it! I was too lazy to find another one.

              Sincerely,
              George

On the contrary...............I thought you knew that EVERYONE visits the WAF.

Anyway, there are a few bidders, so the seller will not lose out. That was never my intention in any case.

If I had been happy that that particular bar was original, I would have bid on it myself, you can bet on that!

Did he say when and where he got it?
Some vets picked bits up after 1945!

                      Hi Robin,

Yes he did say, however I forget what exactly he said. I met him and his wife at their home about 9 years ago when he answered an ad I put in the local paper. Along with the ribbon bar he sold me a big stack of cigarette cards and a compass if I recall. He also wanted me to buy a crystal goblet set he lifted from a Luftwaffe mess. At the time I had no use for the whole set so I passed. The prize of his souvenires was a vehicle ID flag that all of his platoon signed. He would not sell that to me at any price and insisted that he was going to find a museum to donate it to someday. I am quite confident that the ribbon bar is very genuine and not a reproduction based on that meeting and my experience in this field. If someone like yourself is not comfortable then I respect that.

                      Best Regards,
                      George

                          Hello
I think you got it wrong here.
I believe the seller is pointing at the ruler to make sure bidder realize that it is in inches and not CM ,most likely the case here.
                          Regards
                          Pierre-Yves
