    Old Movie SS Assault Wrap

This looks like an old movie Assault Gunner Wrap under United Costumers Inc. Does anybody know the history of this movie prop company? I understand in the 40's or 50's they were sold to Warner Brothers and these companies would buy original uniforms for movies though this one I feel is a good copy. assaultwrap 024.jpg

The material is very rough wool and lining is Gray cotton. The picture I took of the back of the collar is not the best picture, sorryassaultwrap 027.jpg

The collar insignias are newer and repro's. I found the original left tab in the pocket with the backing pretty shot. The other insignias look like good old aged repro's assaultwrap 012.jpg

Repro or not, it's a neat wrap. I wonder what movie it was used in?

It's an obvious reproduction. If made only for a movie it is interesting to see the details of the lining,I wouldn't think they would try and get it so close.

                            Thanks Chris and Glenn,
The basic wrap is old. The wool is very coarse. I had the same question, why the lining was so close to the original. I guess the secret is CZ/44 WDT and the number on the straps is 06/?5. For you old movie lovers, if you can think of a WW2 movie supplied from United Costumers Inc or what the CZ/44 WDT stands for let me know.
