    SS Feldmutze cap

    my Friend,
the SS item is so rare and hard to find...but I believe again lol
I found a new item : a ss feldmutze cap, the condition is rude, and I think a Hold cap, but the same question real cap ? or just another fake...
I have a second question, if this cap is good, the value will be??? and the bevo insigina cost X 2 the value of this cap?
thanks for your help and your time my friend !
    best regards
    Wolfy.

Wolfen can you post a close up where the lining has come undone (bottom edge of cap)?If you look where the lining is open can you see any support material between the lining and wool? Finally can you post a close up where the TK used to be?

I must say so far it looks OK in my opinion.

          But 500 euros?...
Isn't it better to save your money and buy something a little better?

          Regards,

          Anders

dont give more than 300 euros for it and remember that to find a good pair of TK and eagle that match the wear of the cap it will be not easy

I'm quite convinced that it's an original one, but it's pretty beaten up...

                  Kind regards,
                  Gerd V

Just an observation. The cap is sun bleached as seen under the flaps. I worry that the insignia areas are not darker. Totally possible that the cap was worn post war after the insignia was removed though.

I agree that you should save your money and buy something in better condition. Even if you find insignia, this will always be a put together cap in poor condition. You must also consider that there may be active moth larva in the cap, which can be spread to any other cloth items you may own. To me, something in this poor condition has very little value.

I like the cap the way it is. A small item such as this could easily be placed in a freezer to kill any insect pests. Extremely salty, used items like this are what I prefer to collect. I would rather have this stripped example than an untouched mint one from a factory that never saw the light of day during the Third Reich. I would always be happy with this cap. One man's trash...

yes this cap is salty it's right but a fight item for sure, I prefer this rude item, because it's a great combat period story...
but I am just afraid for find the ss bevo insigina, 97% is fake, and the price is horrible, it's sad...

                            best regards
