I have seen a number of period photographs in which Waffen-SS LAH members are NOT wearing the LAH cyphers--metal or embroidered. So, I'm just wondering if the wearing of LAH cyphers was an enforced regulation, and how common was it for LAH members not to wear the cyphers?
This is another question concerning the historical accuracy of a display I may put together. Although I would love to have a set of officer boards with the LAH cyphers, they seem very difficult to find, expensive, and difficult for me to authenticate when I do find them. So, if it could be historically accurate (within reaon), I might just display everything with only the my LAH cufftitle and officer's ring.
