I don't think its Italian Wool. It is finer, lighter in color and not as coarse by far.

Why would there be no Depot Marks or size markings

When I got it it did not have boards, just the loops and buttons. The ones on there are likely repros added by me.

If this tunic pans out to be a good one, would it be a good assumption that because these tunics were issued only with sleeve eagles. That is how it was captured and the tabs added by a dealer or collector befor I got it. I do not see any signs of tabs removed prior to the fake ones added.

Do you think its best to remove the tabs and leave it tabless.

the absence of marking shouldnt be a big problem as ive seen tunics with nomarkings inside...lets see wot experts say.
Yes id take off them tabs too!and leave it like that or replace tabs and boards properly

If there are no naysayers on this tunic. I assume all agree its a good one.

I think I will remove the tabs and leave it tabless, rather than adding something it may never had. I have seen photos of volunteers wearing this tunic tab less. Probably raw recruits

Any other opinions or discussion would be appreciated.

Some of the true all Italian material made tunics( both lining and outer skin.) have an odd shade of green, and some of the latest made did not have the backing on the collar as they saved in material here, and in construction techniques..most noticeably on the inside seams, which can be quite sloppy..

If it was captured in unissued condition, why there are sweat stains in armpit areas now?
Is it only pictures or breast pockets are not aligned?

I think it's just the pictures that is making the pockets look unlevel? Lower pockets are similar and the tunic is flat on the left hand side above the pocket/towards the arm and on the right arm side it's a bit crumpled - as if it's not sitting straight on the hanger??

I was just speculating and who knows if the sweat stains were made before or after capture. It does not have enough wear or sweat to it
to have been in the field for any length of time for sure.

As far as the alignment of the pockets, if you look at the right shoulder area it is sitting on the dummy drooping at one side. The dummy is actualy missing the part of the shoulder with the arms.
