Fake SS Titles

Here are some new fake SS titles...I was offered them at 70 cents each if you buy at least 500...I am sure they would not fool experienced collectors but maybe newbies would learn something.

These have appeared in the last three or four months and are on sale to re-enactors. I bought a couple out of interest - Nordland and SS Kriegsberichter, not shown here - and they cost a few pounds each. Apart from the 'designs' which are generally inaccurate, the real giveaways are the pattern of the reverse which shows a kind of wavy pattern rather than the typical chequerboard, and the material which is a stiff-ish polyester; they feel nothing like an original Bevo type. I doubt they would fool a collector with any experience at all, although doubtless they would spruce up a re-enactor's uniform.

And of course this is why they are on ebay, every day. The profit motive keeps the swine in food.
