Four more Volunteer shields for you.

    Four more shields for you..
Top left…Estland in bevo. Luftwaffe volunteers from Estonia. This is actually the shield in the Foreign Legions of the Third Reich by Bender.

Top right Dutch SS legion….first pattern locally produced.

Bottom left Russland locally produced. The tress may be squadron number or rank. I have heard both possibilities but nothing definite.

Bottom right Third pattern Volga Tarter ,picked from a tunic

Very rare things indeed! Hey Dan...what about showing the guys what a real 'France' shield looks like? I'm planning a trip to London shortly, BTW.

    Best regards,

ok geez...nice cross....here's the French stuff!
Let us know when you're back in blighty and we'll RV for a "frothy" latte on the King's Road.
We can then both confide that we'd rather be eating "rat packs" after a fire fight with Saddam's "elite" Republican guard.
Not quite the LAH methinks. Anyway, back to the shields...

        French Volunteer in the "LVF".
Those who went over to the SS often kept this type of shield.

            Foreign volunteers

            Hello Dan and Prosper,

Here is a small composition of badge resulting from my collection.
I look actively for a badge Bevo France.
            Cordial greetings.

Very interesting to see all that shields. I like especially the ones which are salty and still on uniform cloth. Can you please post some bigger scans of the locally made Dutch shield Dan? I am very interested to see the backing of that shield. Thanks.

Tony, you wrote that you also have some Dutch items. Could you plese post some scans when possible?

                        Cheers,
                        Cees

                              Foreign volunteers

                              Hello to all,

Dan, very beautiful collection. From my part, I am interested more specifically in the documents relative to the foreign volunteers. Therefore the research of badge is secondary. I privilege the badges models Bevo. You will find enclosed a photo showing the departure, after a permission, of soldiers of the LVF as well as a photo showing volunteers of the legion Wallonie, to the right Léon Degrelle.

I was happy and proud for our profession (see my profile) to read the Prosper's message in the column Association Members Only Forum. Rewards amply deserved.

Ian, always happy of resources of your news. At present, anything for Hunyadi.

Greg, to have already seen your collection, it is always a real pleasure to see these magnificent badges. Do you have to find again the badge Freies Arabien ? ;-))

The badge Don Art. results from the collection of a Dutch friend. This last one separated from its collection there are some years now. You will find enclosed a photo showing the port of the badge of XV KKK by von Pannwitz.

                              Cordial greetings to all.

                              Polux
