    Hello friends....one clue we would have here had we not had other things to go by is that we have crimped in pins on an eagle that purports to be an early eagle. Crimped in pins are found on zinc and alum. skulls/eagles...not tomback

      Let's also not forget that the second pattern eagles were not introduced until 1936. Unlike the second pattern skulls introduced two years earlier in 1934, of which some of the earliest were made of tombac, I am not aware of any original second pattern eagle which was even made of tombac at all! Regardless of the pin attachment style, this heavy material is an obvious give-away that this eagle is a fake!
