Hello SS Collectors,
I'm not sure if I have these in the right Forum, but thought they could be identified here better than anywhere else?
This set of cased spoons was acquired by a good friend across the mountains from me here in Colorado and he was wondering if I could help him find out exactly what they are? These are the only scans I have, so if anyone needs more details, it might take a day or so to get them. I was told the spoons are dainty and only measure around 4-5 inches long. Dessert spoons? Sugar spoons? He was particularly interested in finding out who the M & G maker is and the purpose for the crown and Imperial eagle<?> on both sides of the 800 mark. He was also interested in a value for something like this set, but I know it's a touchy subject in discussions here on the Forum. Can anyone help him with any information on these? If someone is willing to take a crack at a value on them, that would be an additional bonus. BTW - There are only six spoons out of the original eight.
Thanks in advance,
Gary
Closed case...note the gold embossed eagle on the cover.
