      Robin,

That is a great collar tab and a very hard pattern to find. It is the transitional between the left facing and the later types, on velveteen. I am missing this type, on felt badge cloth, and appreciate knowing of this pattern.

        Thanks Bob.

I can't believe there is any pattern of TK tab that you are missing!

I knew this was a scarce type, and paid a fair price to get it, but I think it was worth it.

I'm slowly but surely building up a collection of one representative example of each of the main types of TK tab. I never usually collect 'doubles' of anything.

So I have just 7 types to go.......but I think they're the difficult ones!

For the information of others, here are some of the other M40-pattern machine-embroidered types that this tab resembles, but is different from. First, the left-facer......

The SS-T Division was destroyed almost three times over between 1941 and 1945 and continually had injections of new personnel, which I think explains the various production runs of these machine-embroidered horizontal tabs. Scores of thousands must have been produced, as over 60,000 men served in the division alone, not to mention the SS-T Standarten used as police troops in the occupied territories, but the early tabs are not easy to find. Pumpkinhead and the alien are the ones found most commonly.

Officer tabs and Bevo tabs are a whole different story.

I am glad you appreciate that tab Robin..the seller and his shill was less than honest with me in the previous auction..

Alas, integrity is a foreign word for some in the dealing of militaria...

I don't know anything about that. As I said earlier, I didn't even see the thing when it was first offered for sale.
The seller was fine with me........no problems with shipping etc.
