Ostmark is not mine, but Deutschland is mine, ex Bob Hritz collection ( shown on the forum before). What we can discuss, the flatwire and BeVo? Younger generation of collectors is scared to buy any bullion insignia, even the original items to be recognized as fakes

Any how I still doubt them, the D is similar like the Ostmark.
I don't care who owns them or from where they are from.
I talk about the items only.

I don't see the connections between D and Ostmark. The both cuffs IMO made in similar techniques. As my own opinion- there quite a quantity of the original insignia has been dropped to the mud in the past on the WAF. I have my own opinion, and anyone has right to his

The Veteran who brought back the Deutschland would be rather surprised to hear this cut off the tunic cuff title was questioned. A no doubt original.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

Your point about original insignia being trashed on the WAF is well made. The saying that the camera doesn't lie is not true sometimes as it is necessary to hold in hand and I have HE bands that look very different in hand compared to photographs of them.

I though the "d" on the Deutschland (at the end) was a little funky but it was the "O" on the Ostmark that caught my attention and it would be good to see more pictures of it.

To keep this superb thread on track, here's my Ostmark - obviously flatwire

Posted these before but I think they belong in this thread. (sorry Das Reich was posted previously)
Two full lenght flatwire cuff titles for officers:
                              Germania - uniform removed
Deutschland - uniform removed with a lot of visible threads still on the sides. Sewn in a ring, as removed from a sleeve, but not shortened. I have seen similar cuff titles with uS vet provenance from late summer/fall 1944.

All three are uniform removed which I really like
Minty ones are nice too... But favourites are the used ones

Uni-removed, the only way to go! Best regards from a Swedish coll-colleague.
