Opinions on O/S Cap and Pennants

I went to a guy's house last night to buy his militaria and he has a lot of stuff. There is good and bad mixed together. I told him that I had major doubts about some of his German items, and he allowed me to take pics so I could get other opinions.

Let's hear some opinions!

I agree with Mr Singer but I could entertain numerous doubts about that cap. It looks like one of the reproductions from Schmidt & Sohne who I believe operate from Japan. They use that exact type of repro insignia on their SS field caps.

The pennants are well known SS fantasy items.

I have never collected SS because there are too many mine fields to make the experience pleasurable for me, but the guy has a lot of good mixed in with his bunk items.

There are daggers, some legit awards, and many common items. My plan at this point will be to go back and get nice pics of everything to post on this board. Maybe there will be a gem among all the costume jewelry???

I don't even collect SS and I had concerns with the cap and fantasy flags but I told the guy that I was not an expert, and I would share the pics with informed collectors and let him know good or bad.

He definitely struck out on his cap, pennants, and a lot of his insignia, but he hit some home runs on his daggers! I am taking pics to post asap...
