    These ex-prisoners were German nationals from Bavaria......political prisoners........so were better fed than the others. Some were probably used as Kapos.
    Look at the guy at the right.....he's wearing an armband very much like yours.
    I sure wonder what the 'banner' on the flag says...

        That's right.....presumably these men were for the most part hard-line German Communists. It's interesting to see that the chap seated at front centre still has his KL striped trousers on.
