A spool of SS thread? Opinions please.

Here's a spool of thread some one sent me; what do you guys think about it?

I just purchased a roll on ebay for under $8.00 The seller originally had a buy-it-now price of almost $35. I don't know if these are good or not. I'll be interested in finding out.

Yes, they are original, I have 2 black spools and 1 white, like yours, never been opened.

with all due respect to the gentlemen who have these items, i belive these are heavily faked in eastern europe, there are roll upon roll of them in the camden passage in london, and i know the sellers reputations well. in my opinion they are bad sorry. phil.

Hi, Had these for more than 2 yrs., but there is a difference in markings. The first spool lacks some. Notice same 23... .

I guess they are a fun piece for $5 , they also made them with SA stickers,but have not seen those ones at the fairs for a while. Yes Ade,I'd say they have been around for about 7-10 years .

They've been around for over 20 years.

If you burst them open, some have 'Made in Pakistan' stamped inside.

First saw a tray of these spools of thread, along with SA/NSDAP/HJ etc in Camden in 1990. If my memory serves they were going for £10 a reel back then and were selling fast.
