      Nice exceptional SS tunics from Italian wool, but I thought we were talking about Tunics worn by members of the Italian SS Division ,Brigade or Legion.

        Yes Dennis, I think the same too but many compliments to John and Glenn, very beautifull tunics in italian wool!!

          Thanks very much everyone. The info you have provided, and the examples are certainly a start for this quest. I agree that this may boil down to gut feeling on all aspects, and if that is the case, I am going to pass on it. I can bet that my gut would feel pretty bad if I cough-up 7,000.00 and it turns out to be bogus, or "restored." Does anyone here have any known examples? Meaning actual photos of a tunic, agreed to be authentic?

            Some french vets from the 7ss sturmbrigade had to wear them as replacments when the Charlemagne was formed: their first reaction was to "trade them" ( a dodgey way, such as boxers...) to the new soldiers that were coming from France with the milice, for them it wasn't the same quality as the previous german ones, specially when the winter was coming, they spoke about it as "cigaret paper". Had the story from a few survivors.
