My Latest Purchase - Assault Gun Uniform

This complete Waffen SS NCO Assault gunner uniform was recently purchased from Dr. Ludwig Baer. It belonged to a good friend of his who gave it to him about 25 years ago. I am told by Dr. Baer that he served in the "Wiking Division" and surrendered to the Americans in 1945. The uniform had been packed away as we see it since 1945. It includes the holsetr, belt, wrapper, trousers, shirt tie boots ID disk and NCO viors cap made to look like a crusher with the metal frame removed. The medals are as they were left in 1945. Hoep you like it.

Beyond rare.... Very nice indeed. The sleeve insignia is for a Heer war ordnance NCO (Kriegs-Feuerwerker) - awarded on completion of a six months ordnance course.

I would also love to see more shots of the wrapper, visor and dogtag. Close-up shots of the insignia, etc. would be great!

Great to see that groups like this can still be picked up. I'd love to see an interior shot of the visor if possible?

                              Lassi,

The grouping is very nice. Who is the soldier that wore this uniform? I assume you have his name. If so it is very easy to get is service information from the Holocaust Museum of Washington DC. Perhaps maybe even a photo of this person wearing your very uniform. Congrats on the lot!
