Dave,

That he never made Oberstgruppenf******252;hrer and was only SS-Obergruppenf******252;hrer at the end of the war. There have been rumors going around that Hitler promoted Wolff near the end and was even given congrats. by other SS members for this promotion.........I am not suprised that Wolff would sign as Oberst, as this is the guy who stated the Hitler diaries were the real deal.

It was thought that he reached this rank on 20.4.1945 and we all know what date this is.

No, the picture color is off on that. The cuffband is the same one that is pictured in this thread. It is silver bullion, not gold.
