I've been offered this skull, but I'm pretty sure it's a repro due to the soft details. However, I'm not a collector of SS items, so I just wanted to get your opinions. Sorry about the poor scans, but they're better than I can do with my camera.

That's a pleasant surprise to hear. The guy's asking about $70 for it; is that a good price? He's not a dealer, just a private collector, and the few other items I've bought from him have all been good so far.

After 15 years of collecting, it's nice to get a good surprise like this. It helps make up for the (luckily decreasing but still occasionally occuring) times when I get burned with repros. I'm paying for the skull ASAP. This forum is great. I would have passed on this if I couldn't have gotten some opinions. I generally avoid SS items like the plague as the repros are just too good for someone like me that doesn't spend half his life studying them.
