SS Bevo Tab and Shoulder Boards

    Hi Everyone,

I just got a small lot of insignia from and older collection 95% of it was good. Here are a couple of SS pieces I would like your opinions on. The first is a SS Bevo runic tab. It is the type with the carboard backing. The piece is used and shows wear and staining. This looks fine to me.

The other is a pair of Police/ Recruting boards. They are well made, do not black light and feel right but I'm just not sure about them. The gray/green wool backing is slightly different on each on. One has more nap than the other. The construction is basically the same throughout.

    Thanks,
    Keith

Hi Keith, sorry, the shoulder straps are bad. I have a pair the same.

                  Cheers, Ade.

                    Collar Tab

The collar tab is fine. It is executed in late war BeVo rendering. I have no experience with shoulder straps/boards. I would buy the collar tab if I required it for my collection.

                      Thanks eveyone,

I had a bad feeling about the boards when the previous owner told me where he got them from. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt though.

                            Thanks Ade,

Gee those look familiar!!!! Any idea who made them and when?
The guy I bought the collection from said he had had them for about 10 years or longer.

No idea who made them. They came from Germany. But I bought mine in the early 1980's certainly before 1984. I only found out they were bad this last year.

                              Cheers, Ade.
