    What I have seen today!!!

    Hello all,
this morning I went see an old collector, which have this cap with several others.
Piping of cap is Aluminium. No maker mark, no presence of rodhoid.
    Cap band is velvet.
There is an ink stamp on Reverse sweatband. Stamp is n° 620452.
RZM tag present. Number is, in memory 428.
Sorry for bad pictures, but man was pressed.
I have no other pictures than these.
Collectors here really think, that cap may be a General Allgemeine SS Cap?
I wait comment of all headgear collectors.
    Sincerely

I just got two original of such very very rar visor hats in my hands since I collect. All got a black inliner and where in the textbook RZM version. Everything should be done it top quality w/o any exeptions (my view). From what I see here already, like the rough stitching lines I already would pass on this one.

Could you please send better pictures from the RZM label?

                        The insignia are 100% fake.

With out a doubt it is a Frankenstein. IMO the lining was from a period donor cap along with the visor. Hard to tell from the photos but the sweatband might be period. Take a look at the poor attempt to create an Erel type reed between the sweatband and the base. In post # 8 it is all over the place. It is hard to be sure on the RZM tag but even from the poor photos it looks to be printed on paper. The chin cord is about 4cm’s too large for the cap. I must say the exterior materials are better than what you generally see on these type fakes.
