SS Adolf Hitler Cuff Title***** authentic?

    Hello all,

My Adolf Hitler SS Cuff title FINALLY arrived from eBay. I don't know much about SS Cuffs, but I figured it was worth the gamble for only $25.

Anyhow, I have a bunch of photos. I really need some of you guys to tell me what you think.

Is it authentic? I really need to know

Thanks I need more opinions, so PLEASE feel free to interject.

    Please help...

But is there anything 100% sure about it fake or real? Does the back check out?

I would love to hear as many opinions as possible.

                Item number: 110025943166

Though I don't think the seller is any sort of fake WW2 swindeler, since he described it as a RAD Forign Service 6th year Cuff.

Also, I found a few simmilar short-legged F's and H's at the collector's guild. The quality also seems consistant in the embroidery. Seems to be a lot more like mine than the 2 john posted. What do you think????

Though I don't think the seller is much of a WW2 seller since he described it as a RAD 6 years of Forign Service Cuff. Or maybe thats what it is, like I said I'm no expert in SS.

                  What do ya think?

Maybe because it was billed as a RAD cuff and ended on an odd day? eBay is funny that way.

Does anyone have any more opinions on the actual cuff??? And thing else that seems suspicious, or good???

Even though its not what I was hoping for THANKS for your input! This SS stuff is really confusing to me.

Do you know of any site I can go to and learn more about what you just told me?

                      Thanks

Also, anyone else who has input is 10000% welcome. I need all the info I can gobble up about cuffs. THANKS!

                        Cuff Title

Have you black lighted the reverse? Many reproductions will not fluoresce on the obverse but will on the reverse.

The book sounds great. Thank you, I never knew there was so much to learn about simple cuff titles! Very interesting!

Again, if anybody else has thiew 2 cents to pipe in with about the cuff I'm all ears.

                          THANKS

*edit* The reverse is black and not the white/black peppering that some have... so would I be loking at the threads?

I have to agree with John on this one I am afraid. I like the fact that it has 7 strands for the edge banding but the fakers know about that too. John is correct though about the letters running into the edge, I have never seen a real one where that did not occur. Also the letter are too "spindly for lack of a better word to describe it. I hope I am wrong but I don't think so.

The embroidery position can vary on a cuff title. I have attached a photo of 5 original Adolf Hitler RZM machine embroidered cuff titles. the one thing that remains the same is the quality of the embroiderey.

The posted cuff title is surely an unusual example and I would love to do a close up study and comparisonm, before passing judgement.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.
